Hailey's Fun Never Ends! November 2009

Hailey's personality is truly shining this month. She is becoming more and more of a challenge every day. She is definitely developing her likes and dislikes and she has no problem telling us all about it. At the top of her lungs if she has too. She has become a master at tantrum throwing!

Here she is having her own way. She isn't supposed to climb up on the arm of the couch or on the table.

She loves Blue's Clues and this is her favorite place to sit when she watches it. Gone are the days of sitting in her little princess chair!

Here she is again in her spot. Daddy wanted to share it with her and she wasn't having any of that!

Here she is in full Diva mode. Hannah says she is "Divalicious!" I don't know where she got it from!

Wacky Tacky (a local birthday party place) had a free open play time. Of course we had to go! The kids had a ball. I had a hard time getting them out of there.

Hailey thinks it's her turn to go to school. Here she is in Joe's shoes with Joe's backpack!

Hailey is nothing if not adorable. However her latest version of tantrum throwing is taking its toll on Mommy's nerves and her forehead! Usually she just bangs her head repeatedly on the hardwood floor. Today she has reached a new level, cement! Please tell me the cement has broken this trend before she breaks her head open! I don't know if I can take much more! My nerves are shot! I'm afraid she is going to cause herself major damage! Kyle did this too, but I don't remember it being this severe. Keep your fingers crossed that this phase has passed!

Teeth & the Tooth Fairy!

The tooth fairy was a frequent visitor to Roseville this summer!

Hannah and Nate lost their first teeth the week before Hannah's birthday.

Kyle lost a tooth that week too.

Hannah lost her second tooth last Saturday. Hannah can't wait to lose another tooth. She says she "needs the money". Apparently this is a great business opportunity. Who knew?!?

Halloween!

Finally! I feel caught up now! Here are the highlights of our Halloween. We had a great time!

Joe and Hailey at Joe's Preschool "Harvest" Party. Joe is teaching Hailey the fine art of making Fruit Loop jewelry.

Joe modeling his Fruit Loop necklace. What a functional piece of jewelry that was. Essential to every preschooler's wardrobe!

Joe and Hailey on the carpet with the class. I was shocked Hailey actually went with Joe to the carpet. She usually clings to me. She is getting quite independent.

Joe went with me to Kyle's "Harvest" party. They decorated cookies. As you can see a good time was had by all.

After school we went to pick out some pumpkins to carve for Halloween. Yes, last minute! Better late than never! They were happy with the pumpkins so it was all good!

Here we are - getting ready to trick or treat. Hannah is a princess. Shocking I know, but we have moved past Sleeping Beauty now so we should be very glad!

Kyle wanted to be a knight again this year. It worked for me because we had everything and he kind of matches Hannah. They kind of had a "Narnia" theme going!

Here they are. My little guys. Mickey and Minnie. How cute are they? Kyle and Hannah were Mickey and Minnie so I was thrilled that Joe agreed to be Mickey to match Hailey.

Hailey loved her costume. Carl did a great job on our pumpkins this year too.

Adorable! Can I just say, Hailey thinks trick or treating is the best thing ever! You knock on the door, people give you candy, then you say "Thank you" and "Bye". The best part is you get tons of candy!! Yay!

After trick or treating the kids went crazy for the candy. Even Hailey. Shocking - I know! I walked in to the living room to find this scene. Kyle and Hannah dancing! So cute! He was trying to "dip" her!

Flat Stanley Project - October 2009

Kyle's class is doing a Flat Stanley project. His class made 24 Flat Stanleys and sent them to a second grade class in Georgia and the class in Georgia sent one here. Each child takes a turn with Flat Stanley and journals the activities that they do with him during their "visit". We had to turn in the journal so I can't share that, but here is the picture portion. it was too cute not to share. I thought we were quite creative for the short time we "visited" with Flat Stanley!

We took Stanley to our neighborhood park.

Here's Flat Stanley going down the slide with Kyle.

Flat Stanley and Kyle just being silly!

Here's Flat Stanley with Kyle, Joe, Hannah and Alie.

This project would not have been complete without a picture of Flat Stanley and Dad's patrol car.

Flat Stanley climbing the tree in our front yard with Kyle and Joe.

Flat Stanley rode in the stroller with Hailey. Kyle and Joe drove - poor Flat Stanley - they are wild drivers!

We enjoyed some Fried Rice for dinner.

Flat Stanley got to meet "Teddy". Kyle's favorite animal.

Hailey just could not stay out of this action. She had to be included!

Flat Stanley was very impressed with all of Kyle's trophies.

Flat Stanley snuck up on Kyle in the shower.

The kids relaxed in the playroom after bathtime and watched the movie Garfield. Kyle shared his beanbag chair with Flat Stanley.

Of course we had to introduce Flat Stanley to Sierra. We had a hard time getting her to sit still for a picture. This was the best we could to and believe me we tried! She is still a wild woman after all these years. Age will never slow this girl down!

Kyle and Flat Stanley shared an orange popsicle for dessert.

Flat Stanley slept with Kyle and Teddy. Sweet Dreams!

Preschool Trip to the Pumpkin Farm - Oct 2009

Joe, Hailey & I went to the Pumpkin Farm with Joe's Preschool class. It was a fun trip. There is a small petting zoo, which I have no pictures of, but Joe actually fed a little goat. He is much braver than Kyle was at this age so I was quite impressed with him! He went through a corn maze to get to this little play area and didn't even need my help. What a big boy he is! I think he really enjoyed himself.

Here's Joe (at the top) with his class.

Joe and Hailey in a mound of pumpkins with Joe's friend Carter in the background.

Here's my little Joe.

Hailey chose her pumpkin and she is done!

Snacktime! Popcorn balls! Yummy! It took Joe a little time to figure this one out. Quite entertaining to watch!

Goofy Little Hailey! September - November 2009

Here's some random adorable Hailey pictures.

Hailey at the park in her little ladybug dress. All smiles!

Here she is in her "Baby Sister" shirt. Joe bought it for her when I was pregnant with her and it still fits her!

Here is her impersonation of a "Rock Star". She is wearing her "Hula Girl" jammies, her "Lovie" (ladybug blankie) and Hannah's Sleeping Beauty sunglasses. She is quite the little diva!

She is getting so big. Her hair is just long enough to put up in one big ponytail. I love this little outfit. She got it from her Auntie Eileen and the cousins in Texas.

Hailey loves Blues Clues. Just like the rest of my kids did. It's not as popular now as it was when the older ones were little. So I found a rhinestone pattern for this shirt and made it one day when she was napping. She was so excited when she woke up. Here she is when we put it on her to try on.

Roseville now has a Boudin's Bakery. One of the bakers came out and gave Hailey a little turtle shaped sourdough loaf. She loved it! Here she is digging the little raisin eyes out. She devoured it!
This was one of my favorite little outfits from when Hannah was little. Hailey is just as adorable as Hannah was in it.

Soccer Time!!! August - November 2009

Ok - It's that time of year again! My first year juggling two soccer schedules. Just think - next year I get to juggle three!! My pictures are limited because I am not at both games and practices everytime. I'm also having a more difficult time keeping Joe and Hailey entertained because Hailey is now on the move unless I can keep her occupied with food!

Here is Kyle and Hannah on their first game day.

Here's Hannah playing her first game. Her team is in the white jerseys. Hannah and her friend Alie are leading the pack!

Thank goodness it was lunchtime for Hailey!

Here's Hannah in front of her team banner.

This is Kyle's second game. He was playing goalie. It was so hot that day! I was miserable, can you imagine having to wear the goalie gear too?!?!? He did great though!

Hailey was occupied with her partner in crime, Colton, that day. Aren't they adorable. I wish you could see how cute Colton's eyebrows are. This picture doesn't do him justice! Hailey and Colton are 4 days apart.

Here's our little "Cone Heads". This is such a great team of girls. We were really lucky to have such a great team our first year. Not to mention the best coaches!

Hannah's first soccer portrait. Here's the scenario. We were so lucky to get photo times right in sequence. How often does that work out? The downsides were: 1. No parents allowed back with the kids during the photo shoot and 2. It was 102 that day! (Nobody could tuck her drawstring in her shorts and straighten her out? Really? - Money well spent)

Here she is with the whole team. Go Tiger Cats!!

Buddy photos were extra. As you can see from the quality above, we decided we could do just as well on our own. Here is Hannah with her buddy, Alie.

They are just adorable!

Kyle's 2009 soccer portrait.

Here is his team photo. Go Wolves!!

Here's Kyle's buddy photo. Kyle, Nate, Blake and Mason.

And we saved the best for last. My two little soccer players. I'm so proud of how hard they play and how much they have learned this season. Good job kids!
